Sponsorship for AED for local Club
Update September 2022
The defibrillator for Burghill, Tillington and Weobley Cricket Club has now been installed at the pavilion in Tillington, along side a plaque commemorating the donation by Katherine Harriet Bespoke Home Care.
April 2022
A post from Burghill, Tillington and Weobley Cricket Club:
It has been researched that each year, at least 60,000 people die through cardiac arrest in the UK. 10% of these happen away from home and around one of these deaths occurs on a recreational sports field.
Christian Eriksen’s collapse during Euro 2020 beamed the issue directly to millions of people around the world and made everyone realise that this can happen to anyone, and it isn’t a rare occurrence. This is happening regularly and widespread access to defibrillators is vital.
Shane Warne’s recent passing also brought home to us that you don’t need to be old to die from a cardiac arrest. Therefore the committee felt it was vital we purchase and fit a defibrillator at the club at the earliest opportunity.
We researched different units and prices and settled on an ECB partly funded indoor AED. Nevertheless it was still a large financial outlay for the club.
We canvassed local companies and we are pleased to announce that Hattie Hayes on behalf of Katherine Harriet Bespoke Home Care has offered to fund the cost of the AED for the club. This is extremely generous and community spirited. We are very grateful for her generosity.
We are equally thrilled at KH to be able to help the local community with such a worthwhile cause. The unveiling of this will be later in the season during 2022.

Burghill, Tillington and Weobley Cricket Club
February 2021
Katherine Harriet are pleased to be sponsoring the ‘Burghill, Tillington and Weobley Cricket Club.
Over the years due to financial constraints, the cricket club has had to postpone essential maintenance to its facilities. In particular, they are in need of a urgent drainage system as the ground is prone to flooding.
Katherine Harriet are pleased to support the club and the wonderful service it offers to both young and older cricket players.
If you would also like to support the club in anyway you can then please contact them on email at: btw_cc@outlook.com
Crocodile 8
This year we are proud to be sponsoring the Croc8 taking place on Sunday 24th May 2020 at 11am in Burghill, Hereford.
Here is an extract from the Croc8 organisers and the charity they are supporting this year:
“This year as well as raising funds to improve the outdoor play areas at school, we are proud to be supporting The Kieran Joyce Memorial Fund which has been recently set up in Hereford with CRY, (Cardiac Risk in the Young) by Kieran’s parents Andrea and Gareth Joyce.
In September 2019 Kieran, a fit and healthy young man of 15 years of age fell asleep and never woke up. CRY’s mission is to prevent young sudden cardiac death through awareness, screening and research, and to support families after a tragedy. Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed heart conditions and Kieran’s parents do not want another local family to experience the pain of losing their son or daughter when it could have been prevented if detected with heart screening. The Kieran Joyce Memorial Fund is raising money to organise screening days in Hereford for our young people”.
We are also encouraging as many of the team to take part. We are also looking forward to meeting Cecil the Crocodile!
