February 2021 - Charity of the Year – Yeleni Therapy and Support

This year for 2021 we have chosen Yeleni as our chosen Charity of the Year.

We are running a Charity Project throughout the year and we will hopefully get to do other events as we are allowed to and it is safe to do so.

We will donate £5 for every childhood story, memory or general tales you send in to us! We want to hear all about them and reveal a wealth of past knowledge and experience.

Please post these into us or email in – info@katherineharriet.care

Many thanks

memory lane

July 2019 - A very special trip…

Clarence Attfield was once a Chorister at Hereford Cathedral School many years ago.  Having not revisited his routes for some time, one of his regular Wellbeing Assistants, Kate Sayce, very kindly organised for him to visit Hereford Cathedral and listen to the Choristers.  Clarence also met with the Hereford Dean.

As an old Herefordian this was a very emotional trip but one that bought back so many wonderful memories.
Rebecca Tilby, Registered Manager for Katherine Harriet said “It’s days like today that make you truly realise why we do what we do and the difference something like this can make to someone’s life.  It really is magical”.

Clarence was supported by Rebecca Fletcher (KH Administrator / Events) and Kate Sayce (Wellbeing Assistant) on Thursday 11th July 2019.

Kenchester Water Gardens

On Tuesday 9th July we enjoyed a lovely Client outing to Kenchester Water Gardens.  The weather was glorious, as was the wonderful company.

We walked and talked ourselves around the wonderful gardens, admiring the beautiful plants and trails.  The fish were also a huge attraction, including ‘Pete’ the rather large Pacu vegetarian piranha fish!

After which we enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea including cream scones, jam and cream! An enjoyable day had by all.
Becs Fletcher and Lyn Gummer accompanied the outing.

Royal Wedding Party

Lovely mention in the Hereford Times about our Royal Wedding party for the Over 60’s with the new Mayor Elect Councillor Sue Boulter. It was such a great day.  The event was held at The Scout Hut on Westfaling Street in Hereford on May 20th 2018.
A huge thank you to Katherine Harriet’s Lyn Gummer for pulling this event together and to our wonderful staff for making the cakes!
Please see photos below.

Thank you all, Hattie

Water Mills & Friendships

Beautiful water features and plants were the backdrop for this perfect sunny day out for our clients. New friendships were made which was so wonderful to watch. We can’t wait for the next trip out with this lovely bunch of people…any suggestions to where we can go next, garden lovers?!

Good Day Sunshine

The sun was well and truly shining down on us on our lovely day trip to Hampton Court Castle yesterday.  Katherine Harriet clients and staff enjoyed a guided tour of the historic castle and gardens before picnicking in the sunshine. Hampton Court staff were exceptional and provided us with a lot of support including temporary ramps and easy access to help our clients.

A big thanks to our Wellbeing Assistants Liz, Sue, Kelly and Kate for helping the day run so smoothly and happily.

Another successful trip for Katherine Harriet’s ‘Lovely Gardens Club’ 🙂

Our 'Delightful' Trip to Burford Gardens

“Delightful”, “Beautiful” and “Simply Lovely” were just some of our clients’ comments at our trip to Burford Gardens last Thursday.

Not only was Burford Gardens in Tenbury a picturesque and relaxing place, but the sun shone warmly and there were smiles and laughing all day. At the end of the trip, over a nice cup of tea, we all decided to form a new club where one of our clients suggested we call ourselves “The Lovely Gardens Club”, so we have.

This wonderful bunch of people, who looked out for each other all day and shared their knowledge and love of flowers, plants and trees, discovered new friends. The Lovely Gardening Club have vowed to visit ‘more lovely gardens in Herefordshire’ together over the summer and autumn. We couldn’t be more delighted!

Our First Wellbeing Event Was a Big Success

Laughing, laughing and more laughing – that seemed to be the theme of our first Wellbeing Event! Katherine Harriet staff and our lovely clients had a great time together on Tuesday, chatting, laughing, making things, reminiscing and even singing.
We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came along on the day – and to our fab staff who made delicious cakes!
